Croydon tax bombshell

Axe the Mayor's tax - petition

Croydon residents are being asked to pay for the biggest council tax rise in the country. Since 2006, the Council has accumulated debts of over £1 BILLION POUNDS - thanks to the mismanagement from Labour and the Conservatives.

Liberal Democrats believe that it is manifestly unfair to expect residents to foot the bill for the failure of others. The Government needs to intervene, and must increase the level of funding it gives to Outer London boroughs like ours.
