Lib Dems support Central Hill listing
Claire Bonham, Liberal Democrat campaigner in Upper Norwood & Crystal Palace, has written to Historic England to add her support to the campaign to stop the demolition of the Central Hill estate.
The estate, which was built between 1967-74 and is situated on the Lambeth side of Central Hill, has been ear-marked for demolition by Labour-run Lambeth Council.
Claire said:
"Central Hill is a striking and unique place, with a happy and proud community. Many Croydon residents have friends and family who live there and it is clear that Lambeth Council should be offering tenants and residents options other than demolition. I am pleased to join my colleagues in Lambeth in writing to Historic England and calling for the estate to be listed and protected".
