Nando's submit planning application for the Crystal Palace Triangle

The site of the application is 62 Westow Street, which is currently occupied by Poundland. McDonald's had previously expressed interest in the site but withdrew before a planning application was submitted.
Claire Bonham, Liberal Democrat Councillor for Crystal Palace and Upper Norwood, said:
"I am keen to hear from residents as to their views on this planning application. During these difficult economic times, shops like Poundland have an important part to play in helping people save money on everyday items. That said, the application from Nando's is clearly an improvement on previous plans for a takeaway only McDonald's restaurant, which was rightly withdrawn. Increasing footfall in the Triangle is important to support all businesses, and so I will be studying these proposals very closely.
“I encourage residents to let me know their views on these plans by dropping me an email to Claire.Bonham@croydonlibdems.org or writing to me via Croydon Town Hall.”
